on 12/01/2012 I love these hash browns! I make it a salty and sweet combination by using Honey Bunches of Oats cereal instead of plain cornflakes.

on 12/10/2012 The whole family loved it! I did it without the topping though -- no one wanted that. We were looking for something comparable to Cracker Barrel --- my husband thought this was better than!!!
Have saved it and will definitely be making it again!

on 12/10/2012 Great cheese and potatoes side dish! I make this with no fat sour cream and instead of the extra butter in the topping, reserve about 1/4 cup of the cheese and mix it with the crushed cornflakes then spread on top. Turns out great. We love it with ham or as a great homemade side dish for pick-it-up-quick rotisserie chicken.

on 02/13/2013 I make this often for gatherings and parties. Everyone loves it. I try putting it last on the food table, hoping to have some left to take home but that doesn't work. as soon as my friends see it, even if their plates are already full, they take some.
