Steak with Garlic Blue Cheese Mashed Potatoes

Steam up your favorite vegetables to round out this hearty steak and potato meal.

  • 1.5 to 2 pounds T-bone or New York Strip steak
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon dried rosemary, crushed

Instructions:

1. In 2 quart saucepan melt butter. Add garlic; cook 1 to 2 minutes over medium heat, stirring frequently, until golden brown. Reduce heat to low. Stir in Simply Potatoes and cheese. Cook until heated through.

2. Meanwhile, heat broiler. Rub each side of steak with olive oil. Sprinkle evenly with seasoned salt and rosemary. Place on broiler pan. Broil 4 to 6 inches from heat 8 to 12 minutes, turning once, until desired doneness.

3. Serve steak with mashed potatoes.


Tips & Substitutions:

*Ingredient Substitution: 1 (1 lb 8 oz.) package Simply Potatoes® Garlic Mashed Potatoes can be used in place of plain mashed potatoes. Omit butter and garlic, just heat on stove top as directed on package; stir in blue cheese.

What is not to love about this recipe! Tastes great. Very easy. I have been using Simply Potatoes for the past year now and will never go back to anything different. I love the convenience, portion size, and the most important, taste!!!!
